An Orderly Bathroom Part 1
I’m going to do a short series on creating an orderly bathroom. Why is this on my mind? Well, because our bathrooms need some tlc and I’ve had all sorts of ideas running through my head of what I want to do.
The bathroom is one of those rooms that really needs to be organized. Why? Because when a room is organized it’s easier to keep it clean. Obviously the bathroom needs to stay clean. If you have to move a ton of bottles and junk off of the sink to clean the counters, then most likely the bathroom won’t be cleaned as often as it needs to be. It’s just a fact that the more items you have to move, the more you will dread the job at hand. Imagine being able to walk into your bathroom every couple of days and wiping down the counter in 5 seconds flat. Voila! You have a clean bathroom counter.
My first bathroom organizing tip is for those who are short on storage. If you don’t have a linen closet or need your linen closet for other things, you can store your towels in the bathroom. You have a few storage options for your towels:
- You can store them in a nice looking basket like the one pictured below.
Read the rest of the tips below the cut.
- You can store them under the bathroom sink either on the shelves which are lined with paper or a container of some kind. Just be sure and measure the space under the sink to make sure the container you buy is going to fit.
- You can store the towels on a shelf, either one that is freestanding or one that is hung above the toilet area. Here are a couple of examples pictured below.

I really want that white cabinet. We have no storage in our small main bathroom. We have pedestal sink so no storage there. Maybe that basket under the the pedestal sink would work. :)

P.S. I still haven’t seen that magazine you mention at the grocery store. I’ll keep my eyes out for it.

Yeah, I want that white cabinet too. It would be perfect in my kids’ bathroom.
Are you talking about the Domino Mag? I get my in the mail and I don’t know if I’ve seen it at the grocery stores. Maybe try a book store. :)
